Our volunteers and staff will personally handle your application as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to ensure you are included on the recipient list for this upcoming Christmas. 

Registration for the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau is only open to low income families who live in Vancouver. Families outside the Vancouver area should contact their local Christmas Bureau as dates and locations vary.  For a listing of other bureaus and their contact information please click here: "Other Bureaus"

The Salvation Army in Vancouver also registers local low income families for Christmas assistance. Please note that if you apply at one agency you cannot apply at the other one.

Registration and Toy Store is now closed.

FAMILIES ON ASSISTANCE
To qualify you must provide the original documents (no photocopies) of the following:

  1. Proof of income - Last 2 pay stubs from the Ministry, or a registration form filled out signed and stamped by your worker.
  2. Care cards for ALL members of the family.
  3. Proof of your Vancouver address. Please bring one of the following: phone, cable or hydro bill, or tenant agreement.
  4. 2nd Piece of I.D. (preferably photo) is required for all adults.

LOW INCOME WORKING FAMILIES
(Please note families on E.I. or families on a student loan income may be eligible for assistance.)
To qualify you must provide the following:

  1. Proof of income – 2 Current pay stubs. If pay is direct deposit, then a bank statement with at least 1 month’s history showing 2 deposits is required.
  2. Care cards for ALL members of the family.
  3. Proof of your Vancouver address. Please bring one of the following: phone, cable or hydro bill, or tenant agreement.
  4. A second piece of I.D. (preferably photo) is required for all adults.
  5. Child Tax Benefit Information is required as part as proof of income.
  6. If you are a single parent, guardian or relative with children in your care you must provide proof of custody documents.
  7.  If you are a single parent you must provide legal proof of separation/divorce.
  8. Non Canadian Citizens must supply official documents from Immigration Canada.

We DO NOT accept income tax forms as proof of income.
